Support slot with The Damned confirmed

After a long break, Eastside Jimmy return this summer for some shows, culminating in a main support slot with The Damned at Rhythms of the World Festival in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

A revised line-up sees Hendon-based session drummer Jay Dimoff Zhelezov called in for the prestigious gig on Saturday July 14th.

Eastside Jimmy will play The Nettlebed Stage at around 7.30pm for 40 minutes, before Captain Sensible and Dave Vanian take over.

There are three main stages at Rhythms, which is one of the UK's top music and culture festivals. Other acts playing over the two days include Young Knives, The Boxettes and Junior Murvin.

Warm-up gig announced ahead of Festival return

Eastside Jimmy will be playing a free warm-up gig at The Red Lion, High Street, Old Stevenage on Thursday July 5th.

Support will be offered by Three Bottles Behind and Eastside Jimmy will be on around 9.30pm.

Warm-up gig on Thursday July 1st

Eastside Jimmy will be playing a headline set at popular local rock venue The Red Lion, High Street, Stevenage Old Town on Thursday July 1st.

Band will be on at 10.15pm and there is also a support act called Airway6.

Come along and support us if you can. We will be previewing the set planned for our main support role at Rhythms of the World in Hitchin on Saturday July 24th.

New 5-track EP available now

Eastside Jimmy's new Rockets EP is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Napster and more.

The new recordings from Fortress Studios, London cane be purchased as single tracks or all five for around £4.

Mixing will be completed mid-May.

Gigs planned for the summer too.

Eastside Jimmy return on October 17th

The Jims are headlining a Peel Club Presents evening at Club 85, Hitchin on Saturday October 17th.

Pics from festival blast

Eastside Jimmy headlined the Arcadeeclectic stage at Rhythms of the World 2009 - drawing a huge crowd of around 400 as the light was fading on Saturday July 4th.

Huge thanks to Chris Ripple and Mick McCarthy, who ran the stage and what a good line-up it was over the two days. Many excellent bands and interesting acts.

Rhythms of the World next - Saturday July 4th

Eastside Jimmy will be headling the small but perfectly formed Chris Ripple stage at the Rhythms of the World festival on Saturday July 4th. We expect to be on stage about 8pm.

ROTW takes place in the grounds of The Priory, Hitchin. Tickets pe day are £7 for adults, £3 for 6-17 years old and free for kids under five.

Gig with Chron Gen - Club 85, Hitchin, Saturday May 9th

Eastside Jimmy returned to their 'home venue' as part of a cystic fibrosis charity fund-raiser with local punk legends Chron Gen, and support from The Billy Hunts and Shotgun Sinners.

The 'Sold Out' sign was up at the venue before doors opened, all bands contributing to one of the most biggest nights on the local scene this year.
